Shipment Dimensions

While the dimensions of high-speed refrigeration lines can vary depending on their specific design, they are generally unlikely to be classified as OOG (Out of Gauge) unless they are exceptionally large. Breakbulk shipping is generally not recommended due to the stringent temperature control requirements and the increased risk of damage during handling.

Detailed Packaging Requirements

High-speed refrigeration lines demand robust packaging to withstand the challenges of international shipping. We advise the use of sturdy wooden crates or custom-designed metal containers. Each line should be individually wrapped in protective cushioning materials, such as bubble wrap or foam padding. Internal bracing, utilising wood or metal supports, is essential to prevent movement during transit. All packaging must be clearly labelled with prominent fragile handling instructions.

Handling and Loading Protocols

Meticulous handling is of paramount importance. Employ appropriate lifting equipment, such as forklifts or cranes, and ensure that the weight is evenly distributed within the reefer to prevent shifting during transit. Secure the lines using appropriate straps, wedges, and other securing devices to minimise movement. Avoid stacking any items directly on top of the refrigeration lines. We recommend documenting the entire loading process with photographs for verification purposes.

If you observe any container damage, document the incident with photographs and report it to both Shipping International and the carrier without delay. Shipping International will then coordinate any necessary repairs or replacements.
